The “Women’s Space” project aims to contribute to the achievement of gender equality through the social and economic empowerment of women in the Shkodra Region in Albania within the framework of Goal 5 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Through a comprehensive approach, the project combines interventions that include:
Services for women: Psychosocial counseling, legal aid, vocational training, and support for starting micro-businesses.
Rehabilitation for violent men: Counseling programs to transform violent behaviors.
Advocacy with local authorities: Strengthening institutional capacities to address gender-based violence.
Key Objectives

- Combating forms of discrimination against women in the Shkodra region, improving opportunities for protection, socio-economic empowerment and legal aid, including perpetrators on the path to rehabilitation.

- Strengthening the system of protection, empowerment and economic and social reintegration foreseen by the regulations on violence and gender equality.

- Improving employability skills and inclusion in the labor market. Through the involvement of men and the community in changing attitudes towards violence and gender stereotypes.
